Leaseholder request for disclosure of details of directors, etc. of corporate landlord – Section 2 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

1. I am/we are the leaseholder(s) of the above property.
2. As the landlord of the property you are required to comply with the request made in paragraph 4 below.
OR
As the agent of the landlord
Under Section 2(3) of the 1985 Act you are required to forward this request to the landlord as soon as may be.
OR
As the person who demands the rent of the property concerned
Under Section 2(3) of the 1985 Act you are required to forward this request to the landlord as soon as may be.
3. On [give date] I/we was/were supplied under Section 1(1) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 with the name and address of the landlord of [give the property address] being [give name of the landlord] a body corporate.
4. Under Section 2(1) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 I/we hereby request the landlord to provide me/us with a written statement of the name and address of every director and of the secretary (if any) of the said landlord within the period of 21 days beginning with the day on which you receive this request.
A person who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with a request under Section 2 (1) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 commits a summary offence and is liable on conviction to pay a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.
A person who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with a requirement under Section 2 (3) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 commits a summary offence and is liable on conviction to pay a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale.
The local housing authority has the power to bring a prosecution.
