Request advice

You can find advice and answers for most leasehold issues on our website. Use the search function or browse the site by topic.

If you cannot find the help you need on our website, you can contact us. We offer free initial summary legal advice, to help you decide what to do next. You can either:

  • book a 15 minute phone call with an adviser
  • submit a written enquiry – we’ll email you a response

Check if we can help

We can help if:

  • you own a leasehold flat or house in England or Wales
  • you have a leasehold enquiry, such as a question about service charges, extending your lease, repairs or building management
  • you need initial legal advice only, to help you understand your options

We cannot:

  • take on your case, act on your behalf, or fill in forms for you
  • review any documents apart from your lease – if you’d like us to look at your lease, you must submit a written enquiry for a response by email
  • advise on complex legal issues such as litigation or valuations
  • advise on rental tenancies
  • give financial advice

You can submit up to 3 enquiries per month, and up to 10 per year.

Before you start

Our advisers have limited time for each enquiry. To make sure our advice is as helpful as possible:

  • focus on the main issue you’re having, and ask no more than one or two clear questions
  • write your enquiry in up to 200 words (for phone advice) or 500 words (for written advice)
  • book one appointment at a time and wait until you’ve spoken to an advisor before making another booking

By using our advice service you accept our terms and conditions. Telephone calls and enquiries may be recorded for training and analytical purposes.
