On 29 September, the Home Office published both People with duties under fire safety laws and Fire Safety Order: enforcement and sanctions for non-compliance.
The People with duties under fire safety laws guide is intended to assist ‘persons’ with duties under fire safety legislation in England to comply with the legislation.
The Fire Safety Order: enforcement and sanctions for non-compliance guidance explains how the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (as amended) is enforced and advises of the sanctions that are available to Enforcing Authorities if you fail to comply with this legislation.
