The front door to your flat should have complied with building fire safety regulations when it was installed.
If you are installing a new one, or altering the present one, it should comply with current building regulations as regards fire safety. However, there is no requirement to replace a fire door simply because it does not meet the current standard under Building Regulations, if the door remains in full working order from a fire safety point of view.
A competent fire safety risk assessor will, usually, assess whether a front door is fit for purpose during the fire safety risk assessment.

The door should also meet the Secured by Design standard.
Building regulations requirements can vary depending on the type of building and the location of the doors. You can also refer to official guidance on fire safety regulations.
