Martin Boyd, Chair of The Leasehold Advisory Service, said:
“I welcome the Housing Minister’s recognition that the Leasehold Advisory Service has a vital expert role to play in further supporting and advising consumers on leasehold, park home, and commonhold ownership. Ensuring that consumers are better informed and empowered to take advantage of their rights, particularly as the reforms to legislation go forward; this will be critical as the Government takes steps to bring an end to the feudal leasehold system.
The Chair’s Letter gives LEASE a clear mandate, setting out how the organisation should fulfil its role and remit over the next year, and I look forward to expanding on this detail in the forthcoming months.”
