If the building owner previously applied to the BSF (in June or July 2020) and their application was found to be ineligible because the cladding was not eligible at the time, they can apply to the BSF if an Fire Risk Assessment of External Walls (FRAEW) can be provided which meets the criteria set out in Annex A.
If your building owner previously applied to the BSF (in June or July 2020) and the building was found to have ineligible works, or cladding systems that did not meet the specific criteria listed in Annex A – Technical Information of the 2020 BSF guidance, you may now be eligible for the BSF or CSS if an FRAEW following PAS 9980:2022 methodology can be provided which meets the criteria set out in Annex A.
Yes, if you are responsible for carrying out remediation works (a ‘responsible entity’), you can re-apply to the Building Safety Fund under the eligibility criteria outlined in the Building Safety Fund guidance for new applications from July 2022.
