LEASE is governed by a board, appointed as individuals by the Secretary of State for the Department for Communities and Local Government. The Board’s role is to provide leadership and strategic direction and supervise the overall management of LEASE activities.
Board members abide by the Nolan values of public office and have agreed to a code of conduct.

LEASE’s advisers are all legally qualified. LEASE is managed by a Board of individuals representing the principal interests in the leasehold system – the leasehold tenants, the landlords, the lenders, solicitors and surveyors, under an independent Chairman. The Board controls the general policies of the Service and ensures its independent and impartial approach.
It has the resources of a professional practice panel which includes solicitors, valuers, chartered surveyors and property managers to ensure the accuracy of information provided.
In addition we maintain close contact and liaison with professional bodies and agencies, together with Leaseholders’ organisations, involved in leasehold issues.
