Boost for FREE advice service for leaseholders
The Leasehold Advisory Service for England and Wales (LEASE) has unveiled a new website at www.lease-advice.org designed to provide leaseholders, freeholders and their advisers with a definitive reference source and help them to find the answers to the problems and queries about residential leasehold and commonhold within a few mouse clicks. LEASE’s wide range of free advice notes are available there to download.
LEASE Chief Executive Anthony Essien stresses that the new website service enhances and does not replace the completely free personal telephone and appointment service that his team of qualified specialist legal advisers offer. Indeed, the free telephone advice service has been extended and is now available for an extra two hours a day, from 09.30am until 5.00pm, every weekday. LEASE dealt with over 30,000 enquiries last year.
“There are over 1.5 million owner-occupied leasehold properties and that proportion is set to increase, especially in the big cities, “ said Anthony Essien. “In fact, most leaseholders get along with each other and their freeholder or managing agent perfectly well but, when there is a problem, they need good advice and they need it quickly. That’s where LEASE comes in.”
Find LEASE at www.lease-advice.org or call them on 020 7374 5380. The service is completely free.
